Dear Mr. President,
Thank you so much for the courage of your conviction to serve and protect our nation these past eight years. I am proud to have a President and Commander-in-Chief who didn’t waiver in his commitment to protect our nation in the face of undeserved criticism.
I wish you and Mrs. Bush a prosperous future as you move into the next phase of your lives. I look forward to meeting you in the future.

I sent a long email to the president, and a few weeks later I received a manila envelope with a letter from him. I have it framed in my office.
